After six months in my role, I realised just how much goes on behind the scenes in an asphalt plant. I really felt I was getting to grips with the practical aspects of the job, at the same time as developing my technical knowledge at college.

Since completing my apprenticeship, I’ve had loads of opportunities to continue developing. I’m a Mental Health First Aider and have deepened my asphalt and management knowledge through ongoing training.
