Former Asphalt Operative David Rexworthy has taken on a new role at John Wainwright & Co Ltd as Sustainability and Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Data Analyst.

David will support the business in monitoring its sustainability performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and using data to help shape best practice across the company.

Working closely with SHE Manager Matt Bishop, David will also help measure and inform health and safety performance. A key part of his role will be aggregating and analysing data to support Wainwright’s accreditations against industry standards, while developing deeper insights into our operations.

David moved from his role at Moons Hill Asphalt in late April and has already had the opportunity to get stuck into his new responsibilities, including supporting an ISO 50001 audit in early May.

“The audit was a great way to get stuck into my new role. With that successfully navigated, I’m looking forward to developing new systems for our data use across the company.”

With extensive experience in asphalt production, including working as a trainee plant manager at Avonmouth, David brings valuable first-hand knowledge of Wainwright’s operations to his new position.

“I hope to draw on my existing knowledge while developing new skills. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop my career and make a contribution to Wainwright’s success.”

David’s move into the new role reflects Wainwright’s continued focus on using data to drive improvements in sustainability, health and safety, and operational performance.
